Teacups

9.26.2011

This weekend was mostly gloomy as far as the weather goes. I was fairly productive really productive (I made so many teacup related things).. drawing teacups, carving stamps for printing, updating my Etsy Shop with some new prints, totes and notebooks, playing with Boo, dreaming up new ideas and whatnot.

I think I'm going through something of a teacup phase. It must have started last week when I went for a cup of tea instead of my regular coffee. I like tea. Especially when it's served in a fancy teacup.

I'm also going through a sketchbook phase. I am really bad at keeping up with sketchbooks. I use 1 or 2 pages and than forget about it. I really love the idea of filling one with all of my thoughts and drawings, it's just really hard to do!

Do any of you keep a sketchbook? Do you share your drawings on your blog? I'd love to see!

  2. I have been looking for the perfect sketchbook and can't find one. I love to doodle and sometime I really like my doodles, so I'd like to be able to keep them somewhere. Love your teacup drawings. :)

  6. You're stamps are amazing! When I was growing up my parents ALWAYS set the tea tray at 4pm with the fancy teapot, cups, saucers, milk jug & side plates with cookies for afternoon tea. (we come from British heritage). They would defo not be proud of my green tea in a coffee mug drinking ways. haha.

  7. Hi, oh what lovely teacups!
I use sketchbooks a lot, the best way that I find to use them (at this moment of my life) is having it always open while I'm at my desk, I ending use it to everything, like little notes, little doodles and drawings. Oh and if try carry it with you I might be handy some time.
(I might have some drawings in my blog, I've been drawing a lot, but being a bit shy about showing them, also in my deviantart gallery I have more, but they are older drawings) But I really enjoys watch others sketchbooks and drawings, it's very funny.

  8. I sketch in sketch books. I take mine everywhere I go. I love sketchbooks!!
My favorite sketchbook is the visual journal with watercolor paper by Strathmore. The paper is so sturdy and the design simple.

I post a sketch every Sunday. You can check out my art here:

I should share a sketch of mine on my blog, haha... I failed art at school, my poor art teacher :) Oh wait, I did share my doodles from class one day because class had been so boring. I believe that counts!
