Film From an Early Morning

6.07.2011

Just some photos from a quiet morning that Boo and I spent sitting in the window watching the sunrise. I couldn't sleep that night, I don't remember why, but the sunrise was the silver lining in that sleepless night. Boo was happy to sit in the window and watch some rabbits hop around on the front lawn below. If it weren't for those bunnies to keep him entertained he would definitely have gone back to bed. He loves to sleep. Boo and I have that in common (usually.)

I finally got this roll of film developed. There are a few more treasures I'll share later in the week. Mostly photos I took yesterday afternoon while Boo and I sat outside in the sun.

It would be wonderful if film wasn't so expensive and if getting it developed didn't cost a small fortune. Anyone have any good tips for where to get 35mm color film developed?

  1. Aw! I want bunnies to hop around my lawn in the morning!! We have deer. Which is fun unless they eat your plants. Boo is so cute! Aw!

  2. I wish I could help you with your film dilemma. I don't know the different btwn 35mm to...any other measurement of film...lol xD

That sunrise looked sleepy yet aware of life. Kind of strange how we stay up all night until the sun rises sometimes.

  6. I've found that the development is fairly cheap, but the cost of printing the photos is what costs a boatload. I ended up buying a scanner that could scan film. 35mm and 120mm.

  11. Thanks for your comment! Oh believe me, I'm not always a morning person! When I get up on my own at a decent time, it usually because I went to bed early, but on day that I have to work and I wake up to an alarm.. oh it's not pretty!!

  13. And this film is exquisite! I love the little white house, it's so magical looking!

I have a roll of film that I need to finish, I'm so anxious to see it because it's the first time I've experimented with double exposures! Fingers crossed that it turns out!

Oh, yeah, and in response to your comment about my B&N sketchbook: I work there so I kept walking by it and wanting it forever. I didn't buy it until I felt I had a purpose for it and I love that thing!
