First Hike of the Season

5.03.2011

Phew, ok after this post I am all caught up sharing my weekend in Connecticut! Seriously, every Alexi and Dave weekend is action packed.. to say the least! On Saturday morning (before the BBQ that afternoon) we went on a shortish hike with the dogs for what was my first hike of the season. This easy hike with great friends and cute doggies was a great way to kick off the season. Even if it was a bit chillier than I thought it would be and a bit cloudy.

Ok, I'm holding Boo in that picture, but he did walk for the entire hike, I promise! I was shocked that he was able to keep up. He usually hates going for long walks.. and a "walk" with an incline? I thought he would be pissed.

They are so cute.. and little Finn.. so fluffy. I love his little feet that look like they were dipped in white paint. He has a white paint pom pom at the end of his tail too.. ahhhh!

This building was at the end of our hike. I can't remember what it's called, even though I asked about 47 times, but it used to be someones house. Isn't that crazy? A house? Can you imagine living in this.. on the side of a sheer cliff with absolutely no neighbors in sight?

That last photo is proof that Boo was hiking. His tongue was hanging down to the ground (well almost) and he was walking faster than he normally does. I think he was afraid of being left behind. Silly Boo. Ugh I love him. Even though as I'm typing this he is sitting on top of the couch with his butt next to my face. Thanks Boo.

I can't wait until the next weekend we get to spend with our CT friends. I'm so thankful that we still get to see them once in a while. Alexi and I used to work in the same office so I got totally spoiled- seeing her every morning, lunch every afternoon, hanging out after work and on weekends. I miss that, but I am also very happy for her and Dave because they are so happy in Connecticut with their adorable new house and puppy.

I wish all my friends lived around me.. that would be nice. At least CT isn't absurdly far! 2-5 hrs depending on traffic and the route you take. I usually get it wrong. Haa, that's ok.

haha you've got a good sense of humor. I'm sure Boo appreciates that you guys took him along (and at least he keeps you company while you sit at the computer) lol.

  13. I cannot decide who I am more in love with - Boo or Finn! You must stop teasing my poor pet yearning heart by posting cute pictures of adorable doggies! Haha! Wow, I can't believe that building was someone's house :O Maybe it's haunted! Aren't isolated houses on cliffs always haunted? Hehe xD
