Looking back at this Saturday makes me so proud of my little brown dog. He is pretty lazy, but we had him out hiking and climbing and walking all day long.. his poor short legs must have been sore! Later in the day we went to Alexi and Dave's nephew's birthday party. It was really fun and made me feel like Spring really has arrived- A little bbq with delicious food and games like 4square which I'd never played!
Ha and speaking of feeling sorry for Boo and his short legs.. Finn (the 9 week old puppy) was seriously knocked out. He even fell asleep in the car on the way to the bbq! (Quite a difference from the first car ride that morning when he expressed his dismay with little whines and whimpers.)
Dave was (as usual) a big hit with the kids. They love him! They kept chasing him around with their little water guns and cheered him on when he got the airplane kite to fly. Actually, they liked Matt too which was pretty cute. They surrounded him and made him put together one of the new toys. So funny!
Ah. What an amazing place to celebrate your 4th birthday. I wish I had bbqs like this every weekend. That would be spectacular. I have to remember to put "bbqs" on my list of things to do this summer! bbqs, 4square, kites, and awesome sunsets.. check.
This post melted my heart. When we got our golden retriever puppy a year ago his name was almost FINN. I love it!
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a sweet comment. I would love to find a treasure like that in a home I buy someday.
Happy Monday!
This looks soooo nice! I can't believe the trees and grass already. I;d be out in my bare feet non-stop. Oh and that puppy is just too much.
