Since I started re-reading all the Harry Potter books last month I think I've become somewhat obsessed. My boyfriend agrees. I can't help it! Anyway- I recently read about the letter that Mrs. Weasley wrote to the Dursley's asking permission to take Harry to the Quidditch World Cup. Mrs. Weasley- being a witch- had no idea how to use the postal system. She was worried about not using enough stamps, so she covered the entire envelope, just to be safe.
This is my imagination at work- how the envelop might have looked. I incorporated a bunch of magical objects and also some non-magical things and places. (Watercolor and ink.)
I'm going to continue reading.. happy Sunday..
hehe. So cute!

ReplyDeleteThat's so cuuute! I love how a seemingly mundane detail of a book can inspire something so cool. Just another fine example of A) how observant and handy you are and B) how J.K. Rowling really tuned every fine detail in the Hp series!
