Happy 4th of July!

7.04.2011

Ah, I have to wait until Friday to see fireworks, but here is a pretty one from last 4th of July- Matt and I went up to Poughkeepsie, NY and watched the fireworks from an old bridge that was turned into a walking path over the Hudson River.

I also found out (from the news) that sparklers are legal in NY! (Fireworks are not) I think they might be illegal to sell here though hence the reason I have none right now. I want sparklers! Ugh. I'm going to order them online and play with them outside after the holiday.

Anyway.. I hope everyone has a great 4th! Take pictures of your sparklers if you have them so I can be jealous!

  1. What?! WHY are sparklers illegal?! Arial fireworks were illegal in Utah until this year- but that makes sense. They can be a big fire hazard especially in such a dry state. You order those sparklers!

  2. Hmm...lots of states are getting weird with fireworks though with good reason. Sparklers are a bit over the top since they aren't as dangerous as say....mortars or quarter sticks of dynamite. Lol.

AND ahhh, I can't believe you really saw that firework in the photo! That's enormous and must of been lovely in the night-sky. :) I wish I could send you my sparklers but those puppies will be going off while my brothers do dangerous things. Hahah xD I'll take photos!

Happy 4th, Sarah and enjoy your post-holiday firework playdate! :)

  4. Awesome picture! I didn't get to see fireworks :( but now I kind of feel like I did! I kept trying to convince my boyfriend that we needed sparklers! I may need to play with some after the holiday as well! :) -Lo
